The purposes and objectives of the California Receivers Forum are to provide a statewide organization to promote the ethical administration of receivership practice and encourage increased professionalism in the receivership area. CRF state and the five regional chapters produce numerous educational programs; foster and facilitate the exchange of information; to provide a forum to discuss issues of importance to the members; disseminate instructive articles in Receivership News; provide avenues of communication between the Forum, its constituents, and the courts, on matters affecting receivership practices. The Forum is a state association consisting of five local affiliates. In cooperation with the Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, CRF produces the most comprehensive receivership education program available to receivers, insolvency professionals and vendors to receiverships.
The purpose of the California Bankruptcy Forum is to promote and enhance the value of the bankruptcy system and process in the State of California. The Forum draws membership from all professional disciplines involved in the bankruptcy system and process including accountants, appraisers, auctioneers, attorneys, bankers, brokers, consultants, crisis managers, judges, and trustees. The Forum produces the annual Insolvency Conference and the seven local CBF Forums sponsor regional educational programs and activities, and employ other appropriate vehicles to encourage and promote the creation, exchange and dissemination of information that improves bankruptcy practice and procedure across the state.
